Who Can Enter

1.To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants and nominee must be Kentucky residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WDKY-TV viewing area.

2.Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., WDKY Inc., and any other company which owns, programs, or provides other services to television broadcast station WDKY (the “Station”), The Castle, Old Kentucky Chocolates, Malone’s Restaurants, POSH Salon & Spa, and their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Only one winner per household if more than one winner per contest.

How to Enter

(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. One entry per contestant.

(b) To submit a nomination, log on to foxlexington.com and complete the nomination form by providing your name, address, age, phone number and essay. From February 4th to February 10th, 2010, viewers will be asked to submit maximum 100 word essay about why the nominee is deserving of the “Valentine’s Day Special Day Giveaway”. Alternatively, entries can be submitted via mail by sending a maximum 100 word essay, include your name, address, age and phone number to FOX 56 WDKY-TV ATTN: Valentine’s Day Special Day Giveaway, 836 Euclid Ave, Lexington Ky 40502. All entries must be received by the Station by Wednesday, February 10th at 5pm.

(d) One (1) winner will be selected by a panel of judges made up of station personnel in accordance with the following criteria; (i) uniqueness of situation 50% and (ii) need, impact of need 50%. The decision of the panel of judges will be final. The winner will be announced in the 7-8am Morning News on February 12th, 2010, and will be notified by phone or e-mail on February 12th, 2010 by station personnel.

(e) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.

The Prize(s)

1.One (1) winner will be selected. The winner will receive a one two pound box of chocolates from Old Kentucky Chocolates valued at $55, one (1) diamond heart pendant necklace from The Castle valued at $400, a gold dipped rose from The Castle valued at $75, a $100 gift certificate from POSH Salon & Spa, and a $50 gift certificate from Malone’s Restaurant. The total prize is valued at $680.

2.The winner will be notified by phone. Winner must sign and return release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within 5 days of notification. If a winner is a minor, than the winner’s parents or guardian must sign a release and affidavit of eligibility before the winner receives his or her prize. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification process.

3.If winner does not timely sign the affidavit of eligibility, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Failure to collect the prize within 5 days will constitute forfeiture of the prize. If forfeited, the prize will remain the property of Station. Another winner will be selected.

4.There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.

5.The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.

6.Only one prize will be awarded per household.

7.WDKY, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc., are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize.

8.WDKY, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.

9.In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that WDKY, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.

Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous

1.Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.

2.Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at WDKY-TV FOX56 836 Euclid Ave. Suite 201, Lexington, KY 40502 and on the stations website www.foxlexington.com.

3.For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to FOX56 836 Euclid Ave. Suite 201, Lexington, KY 40502 by March 12th, 2010.

4.This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., WDKY, Inc., Lexington Arts & Cultural Council accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.

5.Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.

6.Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
